ITV Centres call for plans to return to normality

The company that runs the nations vehicle inspectorate stations has asked for the Government to provide guidance on a plan to return to normality.

Concerns over the backlog in the number of tests have been raised, with over 3 million vehicles pending checks at an ITV station. The backlog could stretch to 5 million before all test centres have reopened.

Calls for changes to the way tests are carried out have been proposed, as well as asking for further training resources so additional staff can be brought in to assist with the tests.
